I specialize in books by, about, and for fellow Quixotists: individuals and movements that dreamt a better world and dared to aspire to that vision. Whether they succeeded or failed miserably.
What started for me in the mid-nineties as a scouting missing to find gas money to make the drive from Kansas City to Asheville to Kansas City during college, begat a job in a local bookstore named Downtown Books & News, begat a business selling books online in 1996, begat an open bookstore in Waynesville NC named Dream Again Books, begat a metasearch engine named SearchBiblio, begat the world’s largest independent marketplace for rare & antiquarian books named Biblio, begat — full circle — a small business selling books named “The Libriquarian.”
I promise all you find here will not read like a chapter out of the Torah/Old Testament.
I’m still very much a part of Biblio in my day job as CEO/Quixotist, and I’m truly fortunate to have a job I look forward to
each most days. But, I’ve missed the tangible connection with books and sharing that with others, which is why I… er… begat… The Libriquarian.
With over 18 years of experience in the business, I hope you’ll share my love of the fine books I acquire and write about here — and perhaps trust me with your business if something catches your eye.
